The Healthcare Right of Conscience Act (HCRCA) has long been held as a model for the nation as a protection for sincerely held religious or moral beliefs. Unfortunately, at the urging of Governor Pritzker, some legislators are pushing legislation that would weaken this critical safeguard. Although more than 50,000 Illinoisans and organizations filed witness slips to voice their opposition to this legislation, it was still approved in committee on a party-line vote and will head to the House floor next.
There is still time to voice your opposition to this legislation and protect your rights before the House votes on this. Sign the petition to tell legislators you do not support changes to the HCRCA in Illinois – Click Here.
